Effective video and email marketing kicks into high gear.

It has been a long wait but it was worth it.

What I'm talking about is the new comf5 marketing toolbox produced by VMdirect.
I became a VMdirect affiliate a few years ago after seeing the potential of the early products and their effectiveness in communicating to customers through streaming video.
I must confess although I thought the product was great - it did have it's drawbacks (relying on Internet Explorer and Windows to be fully functional).
A great deal has changed since then and now I'm delighted with what we now have for businesses - (I'm an Apple user mainly) and with the move from the old system to the new one I can at last make use of all the features without needing to move to my Windows machine (and the video quality is excellent too.) :)

What businesses can expect:

ComF5 is a full featured multimedia communications and marketing platform. The initial modules will be an email client, almost exactly like what VMdirect currently sells but supports audio mail as well as video mail, a media manager, an email template manager, a Live Broadcast tool, and a full blown email campaign and marketing system.
ComF5 is 100% cross platform, meaning that it works equally well on Macs as well as PCs.

You can check out the comf5 service here and drop me an email if you would like to trial it for yourself.

How to generate quality traffic for free (Do you Squidoo?)

How do I get more traffic to my site?
How do I find what I’m looking for on the web?
Where are the experts?
Can I be one?

For the answers to the above questions and then some, take a look at Squidoo.
I'm not going to say too much here except that this site has shown me that you can get a good increase in traffic without shelling out money for ads.
(I have created several lenses on this site - all free and already I'm seeing an increase in visitors).
If you are an expert in your field and have something to sell, then this is an absolute must.
Here is an example of a lens I have created

Advertising money pits to avoid.

I have been experimenting with a number of different advertising techniques over the last few months and have discovered not all ads are created equal.
Advertising methods can vary in cost and effectiveness - one particular strategy to be careful with is in buying links - where you pay a website owner to display your advert as a link somewhere on their site for a set fee (usually renewable monthly) over a defined period of time.
If you have vast amounts of cash to throw away then this strategy can work well for you, on the other hand it can also be a financial money pit that will gobble up your cash quicker than you can say "click on the link".
This is because you are paying for you ad to be displayed (not actual visitors to your site).
I personally would not recommend buying links simply because they do not prove to be cost effective.
A better strategy would be to employ pay per click where you are actually paying for real visits to your web page.
