Blogging - a great way to build income

Blogging is no longer the domain of computer teckkies and university students.
There is a wide diversity of people that read blogs and so creating a blog about something that interests you (and of course your visitors) creates a platform from which you can launch related advertising for products and services.
Here's an example below:

I came across Problogger recently which has some excellent tips and articles about how to generate income from your blog.
(The author, Darren is a fellow Australian who makes a living by blogging - and he's a nice person too).
